HORSHAM, Pa., May 4 (UPI) -- U.S. company Mace Security International Inc. has acquired security monitoring company Central Station Security Systems Inc.
Mace previously announced plans to acquire CSSS. Company officials said the deal, worth approximately $3.6 million, has now been finalized.
CSSS, a wholesale security monitoring company, will become a new division at Mace called Mace Security Services. Mace named 30-year electronic security and wholesale monitoring industry veteran Peter Giacalone to serve as the president of Mace Security Services.
"We are very excited about this acquisition," Dennis Raefield, Mace president and chief executive, said in a statement. "CSSS is an established company with excellent customer service and loyal customers, and we are confident that Peter will be able to spearhead more aggressive growth and develop a unique commercial-dealer program that will support CSSS's and Mace's customers alike."
