ATHENS, Greece, April 6 (UPI) -- BAE Systems announced a strategic partnership with Ssmart and Signaal Hellas to support the Greek Ministry of Defense.
BAE has partnered with Greece-based Ssmart and Signaal Hellas to support acquisition and integration programs for the Hellenic defense forces.
Officials said the long-term BAE, Ssmart and Signaal Hellas commitment will provide the Hellenic defense forces with advanced operational equipment and other technologies.
"This strategic partnership will provide BAE Systems with an excellent long-term partner who demonstrates in-depth operational and systems expertise within the Hellenic defense market," Les Gregory, BAE Systems Integrated System Technologies Ltd. strategy director and chief technical officer, said in a statement.
"The experience and strength of these impressive Greek-owned and -managed companies bring a welcome enhancement to our commitment to Greece."
