FAIRFAX, Va., March 31 (UPI) -- The U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency has contracted General Dynamics to support the Systems Integration Communications Infrastructure Support program.
U.S. company General Dynamics said its information technology business unit was awarded the follow-on contract from DISA. Under the five-year, $10.9 million contract, General Dynamics will provide engineering and network support to the agency's Systems Integration Communications Infrastructure Support program.
Officials said the contract also includes providing DISA with upgrades for the Defense Information Infrastructure-compliant communications infrastructures and other upgrade services.
"General Dynamics is proud to continue our partnership with DISA after 12 years of service," Kenneth Slaght, General Dynamics Information Technology vice president of the Naval IT Solutions Sector, said in a statement.
"We will work to maintain a superior level of technical and management support for DISA's mission-critical tasking."
