SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 5 (UPI) -- General Dynamics announced a recent test of a new U.S. Army tactical network was successfully completed.
U.S. company General Dynamics is leading a team that includes Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, Harris Corp., L-3 Communications and Cisco Systems. The companies are working to develop the Army's Warfighter Information Network-Tactical network.
General Dynamics officials said the WIN-T test included more than 35 network nodes, which marked a milestone for the tactical warfare network and advances the development of the program.
"We built and successfully tested the largest mobile network of its kind and we're on pace to start increment-two limited user testing in March," Bill Weiss, General Dynamics C4 Systems vice president of tactical networks, said in a statement.
