SIS awarded F2AST subcontract

KINSTON, N.C., Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Spatial Integrated Systems Inc. has been awarded a task order under a U.S. Air Force contract vehicle to provide engineering and analysis support services.

Prime contractors Boeing and BAE Systems awarded two subcontracts to SIS under the Air Force Future Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool contract vehicle.

As part of the F2AST contracts, SIS will provide engineering services at several logistics and command facilities, including Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Ogden Air Logistics Center and the Aeronautical Systems Command, among others.

The F2AST contract vehicle is designed to provide the Air Force with weapon systems and support systems sustainment, along with other services.

"SIS expects to bring additional reverse engineering, prototyping, finite element analysis, non-destructive inspection and engineering, and other related engineering and analysis work from these awards," Ali Farsaie, SIS president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
