LOS ANGELES, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force has contracted Aecom Technology Corp. for the company to provide aircraft maintenance services.
U.S. company Aecom was awarded the task order as part of the Air Force Contract Field Teams program. Under the $54 million deal, Aecom will provide the Corpus Christi Army Depot in Texas with maintenance and overhaul services of rotary-wing aircraft.
The Contract Field Teams program is a contract vehicle worth $10.12 billion in potential task orders. Aecom was selected by the Air Force to compete for the Contract Field Teams task orders in late 2008 and has now received approximately $269 million in orders.
"Aecom is proud to support this important program for the U.S. Air Force," John Dionisio, Aecom president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"Through the Contract Field Teams program, Aecom is providing mission-critical support to our U.S. Department of Defense and Homeland Security Department clients."
