ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has awarded VSE Corp. a task order to provide explosive threat clearance vehicles with technical support services.
U.S. company VSE says its Federal Group Communications & Engineering Division and Field Support Services Division were awarded the contract from the Army. If all options are exercised, the contract could be worth as much as $389 million.
Under the deal, VSE will provide technical program management services to help sustain the Army's fleet of vehicles that are deployed to clear routes of roadside bombs and other explosive threats in Southwest Asia.
"VSE looks forward to working with our military clients and teammates to support this important readiness task," Mo Gauthier, VSE chief executive officer, president and chief operations officer, said in a statement.
"Our team has a successful record in troubleshooting, repairing and sustaining route clearance equipment."
