MSIAC is operated by U.S. company Alion Science and Technology. As part of the $1.9 million task order, MSIAC will provide Air National Guard's Expert Common Immersive Theater Environment software with modeling and simulation support services.
XCITE is the software technology supporting aircrew members and soldier training initiatives as part of the Air National Guard Distributed Training Operations Center.
"Operational demands have increased dramatically for the Air National Guard Distributed Training Operations Center, and Alion is pleased to support the improvement of the training experience with enhanced software," Dick Brooks, Alion senior vice president and manager for its Distributed Simulation Group, said in a statement.
"MSIAC's work will deliver sophisticated software that incorporates the most current environment generation and threat presentation to deliver the training situations that imitate real-war environments."
