Federal Electronics granted certifications

CRANSTON, R.I., Jan. 20 (UPI) -- U.S. company Federal Electronics Inc. has received certifications that recognize its electronic solutions products for the aerospace and defense market.

Federal Electronics says it has received both the ISO 9001:2000 certification for quality management systems and the AS9100 Revision B certification that is required by the international aerospace industry.


Federal Electronics is a developer of electronic manufacturing services and equipment solutions for the homeland security, defense and aerospace industry. Officials say the certifications are a sign of the company's commitment to quality standards for the military, aerospace and homeland security market.

"As a small business servicing these industry segments, we recognize the importance of delivering world-class performance in all aspects of our business, from new product development and manufacturing through supply chain management and customer service," Edward Evangelista, Federal Electronics vice president, said in a statement.

"With this significant accomplishment and validation, all of our customers can be even more confident that our Quality Management System meets the highest standards of quality, standards that are recognized throughout the world."
