JERUSALEM, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Israeli hackers attacked Iran's Press TV Web site along with two sites belonging to the Ministry of Health and Medical Education Thursday, officials said.

The hackers, who identified themselves as the "Israel Defense Force Team," said the Web sites were brought down in response to a series of attacks on Israeli sites the previous day, The Jerusalem Post reported.

The hackers altered the sites to display an Israeli flag with the anti-Arab text in English.

Thursday's attack was the latest retaliation in an Internet feud that started at the beginning of January when an Arab hacker published tens of thousands of Israeli credit card numbers.

On Wednesday, the Web sites of two Israeli hospitals were taken down. Haaretz newspaper's Hebrew-language site also was downed by pro-Palestinian hackers.

The Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency site and the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange site were taken offline last week by Israeli hackers.
