Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Google released a Doodle game to celebrate the last half moon of November.

The Doodle shows a winking moon, surrounded by cards that feature various lunar phases. When viewers click the play button, they are taken to the game.

"Tomorrow marks the Final Quarter of November's lunar cycle, or 'Half Moon,'" the screen reads. "The Half Moon is the turning point in the lunar cycle, shifting the balance between light and dark like moves in a celestial game."

Players are given "cards" with various moon phases and must match them appropriately.

"Play through nine new boards to unlock November's four new wildcards!" an official description reads.

The game appears on a monthly basis and users can reference the lunar cycle with the Doodle Half Moon Rises wallpaper.

That calendar shows the half moon taking place Saturday.
