EAST QUINCY, Calif., July 30 (UPI) -- Seismologists in California say an earthquake in the northern part of the state was only a magnitude 3.2 temblor but was near the surface.
The depth of the earthquake at 8:29 p.m. PDT Monday was just 0.6 miles, they said.
