LINCOLN, Neb., June 20 (UPI) -- The males of one species of spiders die shortly after mating but unlike black widows, where females eat the males, they die on their own, U.S. scientists say.
Researchers at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln said they found once the male dark fishing spider transfers its sperm to the female, it dies just hours later.
