Derringer tuna salad hoagies are recalled

WASHINGTON, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of Derringer-brand albacore tuna salad hoagies due to a labeling error.

The FDA said the Derringer Co. of Cincinnati recalled the product because it might contain undeclared egg, posing a health risk for people allergic to eggs.

The recalled hoagies are packaged in 7-ounce plastic bags with a Sept. 17 expiration date and were distributed regionally in retail vending machines.
