LOS ANGELES, June 26 (UPI) -- Movie ticketing service Fandango announced Monday it would be available directly through IAC Search & Media Web properties, including Ask.com and Excite.com.
According to the company, the new relationship was launched in partnership with Tribune Media Services, which provides movie listings and reviews among other things, and will now enable IAC Search & Media visitors to buy movie tickets for the 13,600 screens in the Fandango network.
"We're thrilled to be working with the world-class family of IAC Search & Media portals and search engines, including Ask.com," said Fandango Chairman Chuck Davis. "Nearly thirty-four million users depend on these four specific sites each month for quick access to the information they need on the Web. The new Fandango-IAC relationship puts users one click closer to the widest selection of theaters showing this summer's hottest movies, including "Superman Returns" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."
