ATLANTA, May 25 (UPI) -- Cingular Wireless said it has won a contract from the United States Joint Forces Command to provide wireless voice and data services.
The company said it has already received about 700 orders of mobile phones as well as BlackBerry wireless handsets and laptop connect cards.

"Cingular brings USJFCOM personnel several advantages, such as access to free mobile-to-mobile calling, and a global standard, 3G wireless technology that allows for simultaneous voice and data sessions," said Chris Hill, vice president of government solutions.
The company has more than 1,200 federal, state and local government agency clients.
