BEDMINSTER, N.J., April 13 (UPI) -- AT&T said its national data operations has been certified as compliant with international standards.
The operations has received the TL9000 certification, which is a quality system standard that expands the requirements of the International Standards Organization's ISO 9000 quality management standard in use by industries worldwide. The TL 9000 standard was developed and is administered by the Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications (QuEST) Forum. TL 9000 is the world's first industry-specific standard to define requirements for quality management systems and provide members with a set of performance-based measurements used in determining "best in class" performance rankings for industry products and services.
"Enterprise customers are putting an increasing focus on quality service -- and TL 9000 certification provides an independent third-party validation that AT&T has implemented and maintained an effective quality-management system," Fred Taylor, president of national data operations, said in a news release. "With these TL 9000 certifications, enterprise customers can be confident that AT&T's management of their voice, IP telephony, data and CPE network integration needs meet the industry-recognized standards," he added.
