Lucent names new CIO

MURRAY HILL, N.J., April 7 (UPI) -- Lucent Technologies appointed Elizabeth Hackenson as its chief information officer to manage the group's global IT systems.

The 45-year-old comes from MCI, where she held a similar position.

Hackenson will be responsible for the information systems infrastructure, including global communications systems, corporate networks and e-business platforms. The appointment is effective April10, and she will be reporting to Chief Operating Officer Frank D'Amelio.
