LONDON, March 15 (UPI) -- Britain's RadioScope will supply additional infrastructure systems for mobile television in China.

RadioScope announced Wednesday it received contracts for five Digital Multimedia Broadcast and Enhanced Packet Mode transmission systems for mobile TV operators in China.

The deals bring the total of such systems ordered for China in the past few months to nine.

"We have been working closely with the major Chinese broadcasters over the past two years and, having won contracts with leading broadcasters in the major cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, we are confident that other broadcasters will follow their lead and specify our solution," said RadioScope Chief Executive Officer John Hall.

RadioScope said the key to its success was the flexibility its systems provide so that operators can easily reconfigure them to future upgrades to DMB technical specifications.
