Bush's CDC budget focuses on bioterrorism

WASHINGTON, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- President Bush's new proposed budget for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention focuses on bioterror and programs to prevent chronic diseases and AIDS. The president called for more than $1 billion for bioterror funding and $125 million for programs to prevent obesity, diabetes and asthma.
