Pink snow can help fight global warming

BURLINGTON, Vt., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Red algae in the snow of arctic climes and alpine slopes could help combat global warming by guzzling up greenhouse gases, researchers said Monday. Other scientists said they doubt the microbes could affect the world's climate.
