Pill-sized camera spots bowel disease

CHICAGO, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- A new pill-sized camera that sends out images after a patient swallows it can detect the abnormalities causing most intestinal bleeding episodes, researchers reported Tuesday. The tiny pill holds a camera, battery and transmitter and does a better job detecting ulcers and tumors than current diagnostic tests, they said.
