New approach blocks Alzheimer's in mice

TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Scientists at the University of South Florida reported Monday they have developed a novel treatment that stops Alzheimer's disease in mice. Because the finding could lead to new methods of treating or preventing the mental disorder in humans, pharmaceutical companies already have expressed interest in commercializing the new treatment.
