Farm antibiotic use said no risk to humans

WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- A panel of experts convened by a trade group representing the animal drug industry Friday concluded the use of antibiotics in pigs, cows and other food animals does not increase the risk of humans ending up with drug-resistant bacteria. The Food and Drug Administration is recommending risk assessments for animal antibiotics.
