FDA gives nod to new antidepressant

NEW YORK, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Forest Laboratories Inc. has announced the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved its drug Lexapro (escitalopram) for the treatment for major depression. Lexapro is a spin-off of Forest's popular antidepressant Celexa (citalopram).
