Report urges station expansion for science

WASHINGTON, July 10 (UPI) -- If NASA cannot afford to expand the International Space Station and add additional crewmembers for research, the project can no longer be justified on the basis of science, a prestigious panel of scientists concluded Wednesday in a long-awaited report that reprioritizes station research goals. The task force also said NASA will need to launch more than four flights a year to transport experiments to and from the station.
