Study: Wheat inhibits colon cancer

MANHATTAN, Kan., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Researchers said Thursday they have found some kinds of wheat are capable of inhibiting the growth of colon cancer cells in laboratory tests as well as in mice. The scientists compared 150 different types of wheat and found those highest in the antioxidants caffeic acid and ferulic acid were the best at inhibiting colon cancer cell growth.
