Verizon CEO calls for economic stimulus

WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- The head of telecommunications giant Verizon urged Congress on Monday to quickly pass legislation he said would help the country's staggering economy return to health. Ivan Seidenberg said the Bush administration's economic stimulus package, as well as a proposal for a special investment zone in lower Manhattan in New York, should be debated immediately.
