Russell Crowe accused of groping women

TORONTO, July 13 (UPI) -- Actor Russell Crowe has been accused of groping women in a Toronto bar while in Canada filming "Cinderella Man," it was reported Tuesday.

Crowe, who had a reputation as a wild man before marrying last year, was the subject of a deluge of posts to a Toronto online message board, with tales of the actor's after hours activities, World Entertainment News Network said.

"There he is ... hammered out of his skull at Hemingway's in Yorkville ... hitting on everything that moves. I mean right out there in the open, hands all over girls' legs, begging girls not to leave, trying to kiss girls. ... Then (Crowe) takes his shirt off and starts singing," said one post about an incident that allegedly occurred June 27 and reprinted in the Toronto Star.

Martin McSkimming, owner of Hemingway's, confirmed Crowe was at the bar, but said the actor behaved.

"I think it's been blown out of all proportion. I've got a lot of customers and a lot of staff and no one says it's a problem at all," McSkimming said.
