WATFORD, England, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- The 25-year-old stunt man injured this week on the Watford, England, set of the latest "Harry Potter" film is paralyzed, The Daily Mail reported Friday.

Daniel Radcliffe's stunt double, David Holmes, suffered a serious spinal injury Wednesday when he fell to the ground while rehearsing a flying scene, involving an explosion, on the set of "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows" at the Leavesden Studios near Watford. Holmes is said to have told crew members he couldn't feel his legs after the accident, the newspaper reported.

The Mail also said the former competitive gymnast was initially taken to Watford General Hospital, but later transferred to London's Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, a facility that specializes in spinal injuries.

Holmes has stood in for 19-year-old Radcliffe on all of the "Harry Potter" films. Radcliffe and his co-stars from the movie reportedly were not on the set at the time of the mishap because they haven't started filming their parts yet.
