Photographer disrupts Chris Penn funeral

CULVER CITY, Calif., Feb. 5 (UPI) -- A paparazzo disrupted the Culver City, Calif., funeral of actor Christopher Penn, it was reported Sunday.

The late actor's brother, Sean Penn, and friend, actor Mark Ruffalo, reportedly got into a scuffle with the photographer who crossed the line during the funeral at Holy Cross Cemetery Saturday, the New York Daily News reported.

Ruffalo reportedly snatched the memory card from the photographer's camera during the fracas, sources told the newspaper.

Chris Penn, 40, was found dead in his apartment on Jan. 24. Toxicology test results were still pending and no cause of death has been determined.

A friend at the service told the Daily News the photographer was trespassing on private property.

"It was private property, it's a gated cemetery. That guy didn't belong there," the source said. "It's disgusting that Sean couldn't bury his brother in peace."

Penn's spokeswoman said she did not have details about the incident.

"I have no knowledge of an incident and have no intention of disturbing the family at this time," she said.
