Pedestrians try to cross vehicles-only bridge in bus costume

By
Ben Hooper

Nov. 13 (UPI) -- A group of pedestrians attempting to cross a vehicles-only bridge in Russia were stopped by police despite disguising themselves as a cardboard bus.

A video filmed by a surprised witness and posted to YouTube shows the four people trying to walk across the Zolotoy Bridge in Vladivostok while wearing a cardboard bus costume.

The video shows police stop the group and make them turn around.

"Why are they being chased away? It's beautiful, it's art! Why don't they understand it?" a woman's voice says in the video.

The Zolotoy Bridge, which is just over a mile long, opened in 2012, but pedestrians were banned from the span in 2015 when inspectors determined the walkways were too narrow to meet regulations.
