June 22 (UPI) -- Legendary musician Paul McCartney joined Late Late Show host James Corden for a drive around Liverpool, Britain, in the latest edition of Carpool Karaoke.

The segment, which aired Thursday, featured McCartney and Corden singing a number of hits from throughout the former Beatle's career, including "Baby You Can Drive My Car," "Let It Be," "Blackbird," "Penny Lane" while the pair drove down the actual Penny Lane and new song "Come On To Me."

Corden, while singing "Let It Be," began to tear up as the track was one of his grandfather's favorites. "If my grandfather was here he'd get an absolute kick out of this," Corden said. "He is," McCartney replied.

The road trip also included a visit to the house where McCartney lived as a teenager, Corden trying on different Beatles-inspired looks and a visit to a pub where McCartney surprised guests with a live performance.

The concert included McCartney and a band performing "A Hard Day's Night," "Love Me Do," "Back in the USSR" and "Hey Jude," which involved Corden getting onstage.

"I think this is an afternoon none of us will forget," Corden said.

McCartney is set to release a new solo album titled Egypt Station on Sept. 7. The project, in addition to including "Come On To Me," will also include the track "I Don't Know," which was released on music streaming services Wednesday.
