Aug. 24 (UPI) -- WWE's Paige will not be facing domestic violence charges stemming from an altercation with her fiancee, Alberto El Patron at the Orlando International Airport in July.

The 9th Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office confirmed to TMZ that the case is officially closed after El Patron chose not to move forward with charges.

Paige had previously admitted on Twitter that she was the aggressor during the incident, which involved the former Total Divas star throwing a drink at El Patron in addition to engaging in a loud argument.

"Anyways it was ME who was being held for battery charges because I threw a drink on him. No. he never touched me and no I never hit him," she tweeted in July. "No one got arrested. There's no mug shots. There's no charges. Nothing."

Audio from the altercation recorded by a fan features Paige saying, "Stay out my life. Leave me the [expletive] alone," followed by El Patron stating, "Call the cops. Let's do it. Get the cops." Paige addressed the recording in a separate tweet writing, "And if you listen to that stupid audio. You will hear him saying he's pressing charges on ME. We all say stuff when we are mad."

Paige stated that the argument stemmed from a phone call she received informing her about her sick uncle, putting her in an emotional state. On Wednesday, Paige announced on Twitter that her uncle had died alongside a photo of the pair. "My uncle Stan got laid to rest today. Wish I could've been there. Love you always. RIP," she wrote.

El Patron, formally known as Alberto Del Rio during his time in WWE, is still suspended by his employer Global Force Wrestling following the incident, CageSide Seats reported. El Patron had recently united the Impact and GFW Championships during the company's Slammiversary XV event.
