TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 5 (UPI) -- A Tampa man has been charged with arson after he allegedly set his apartment building on fire because management recently asked him to “stop masturbating in front of his open windows and front door.”

Kenneth Haskins, 58, was arrested on a charge of first-degree arson after the fire at the Mar Plaza apartments on Sunday night.

Arson investigators were able to trace the blaze back to Haskins’ apartment in the complex and determine that he used flammable liquids to ignite it. According to a neighbor, Haskins admitted to setting the fire.

28 units had to be evacuated and four families were left homeless. Crews put out the fire in about 20 minutes and no one was injured.

According to state records, Haskins has no major criminal history in Florida.
