Following an incident on Dec. 29 where thieves stole a purse, iPhone and wedding ring from Danielle Zimmerman as she was dying from a fatal brain aneurysm at a Taco Bell drive-through, Wichita police have arrested two 19-year-old men who they believe were involved in the crime.

In addition to Daquantrius Shaquill Johnson and Quanique Dontrell Thomas-Hameen, police are also on the lookout for a third suspect.

While she was pulling into the drive-through to purchase dinner for her family, Zimmerman suffered the aneurysm and her truck plowed into a speaker box and stopped. She was taken to the hospital and died the following day.

Johnson was being held on Monday on suspicion of robbery, criminal possession of a firearm and a probation violation. Thomas-Hameen was locked up on suspicion of robbery and an assortment of traffic charges.

Danielle had been married to her husband, Kris, for 21 years and they have two teenaged sons.

Although police have recovered some of the items, Danielle’s white gold wedding ring is still unaccounted for. Kris indicated that the arrests made him feel a little bit better. “It helps maybe bring a little bit of closure,” he said.
