This is a little bit more painful than having a New Year’s Day hangover…

A woman from the Boston-area city of Dorchester lost her toe during a fight at a rowdy New Year’s Eve party.

According to reports, the victim was attending a friend’s party when she approached another girl and asked if she would like to “hook up.” The girl’s boyfriend took exception to the suggestion and grabbed the victim. He pulled her hair back and only released her after she screamed at him to let her go.

The host of the party became upset with the victim for ruining the festivities and assaulted her. According to Boston police spokeswoman Nicole Grant, the host repeatedly punched the victim until the two were separated.

After the victim fled the party, the host reportedly followed her outside and bit off her left little toe after another physical altercation.

Police received a call from Boston Medical Center reporting an assault and battery at about 5 a.m. on Wednesday morning. In addition to the toe injury, the victim suffered scratches on her arms, forehead, neck and chest.

Speaking of New Year’s Eve and missing appendages, here’s what ear-biting boxer Mike Tyson was munching on while ringing in 2014.
