According to a posting on Jesus Radicals, a group of three Christian anarchists -- likely female -- stole dozens of racy calendars from a kiosk in the Mall of Georgia and replaced them with protest signs with slogans like “Sorry, misogyny is out of stock” and “The female body is not a commodity.”

According to their website: “Jesus Radicals explores the theologically practical politics of a Jesus-centered life and how that way of life benefits from critically engaging anarchist political stances.”

It’s believed the thieves made off with about 200 calendars. They certainly had no problem taking credit for it.

“On the weekend of Black Friday, a group of three people emptied a calendar stand of its entire stock of sexist and objectifying products,” read the posting on Jesus Radicals.

“Every day on the way to work, we had to walk by this kiosk. Each passing encounter forced a specific sexuality and beauty standard upon us, and we couldn’t take it anymore. We were sick of being told that our worth is equivalent to what aesthetic pleasure our bodies can afford someone else (typically a man).”

Mall kiosk worker Chris Tott never saw the thieves taking his supply of Sports Illustrated models and Dallas Cowboy cheerleader calendars. “All the calendars on the shelf were gone, all the girlie calendars,” Tott said.

The owner, Jessica Roy, said the shoplifters should consider who they are stealing from. “We are not Sports Illustrated. We are a small business that's just trying to make a living,” Roy said. The administrator of the website said all his knowledge about the crime is derived from the Internet posting and that he doesn’t know who is behind the theft.
