Nov. 20 (UPI) -- After police arrested Angel Meza for allegedly burglarizing a woman’s Arizona City home on Monday, he told them that the "devil" set him up.
Meza, 36, went on to say that the Prince of Darkness had put a handgun and other stolen property on him. He also admitted that he had recently used drugs.
Pinal County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene after the woman walked into her bedroom and saw someone there. The man ran through her home and left out the back door.
Deputies found Meza in the backyard holding a handgun. He allegedly took the gun, watches and other items from the woman's home.
Meza is facing charges of residential burglary, trespassing, theft and misconduct involving a weapon. Authorities say he is a convicted felon and is therefore not allowed to possess a firearm.
