Lucas also faces charges of child enticement and sexual abuse of a child younger than 12 years old in relation to a 2007 case in Madison, Ala., and faces similar charges in Texas.
DNA collected from alleged victims in multiple states was matched to Lucas, but his lawyer claims that his twin brother shares identical genes and that he was the one who committed the crimes.
On Friday, the judge ruled that it would be "inappropriate" to stop Lucas’ attorney from presenting his twin brother as a suspect.
Apparently, the twin brothers also both drive a similar make and model car -- black Acuras -- described by one of the victims from Madison. Aaron's brother, Brian Lucas, lives in Alabama.
Lucas is in Colorado awaiting trial, set to begin early next year.
