Nov. 18 (UPI) -- A Michigan man was so peeved at his ex-wife that he purchased the home next door to where she now lives with her new lover and erected a 12-foot high statue of the middle finger.
Alan Markovitz bought the Bloomfield Hills house and erected the statue as a way of getting even with his ex-wife's new beau -- the man he believes was having an affair with his wife while they were still married.
Markovitz says that he never wanted the statue, which has a spotlight to keep “the bird” illuminated at all hours of the day, to become public. Unfortunately for him, news about the inflammatory art installation got out when his ex-wife's daughter posted a picture of the statue on Twitter.

According to reports, Markovitz owns three strip clubs in Detroit and is working on developing a TV reality series for Cinemax based on his businesses.
