Nov. 13 (UPI) -- A Miami man who arrived at a park after offering a new iPhone 5 and cash in exchange for sex with a 15-year-old girl left sorely disappointed after his date turned out to be a Pembroke Pines detective.
Raul Alejandro Torres, 34, posted an online advertisement entitled "Sugahdaddi 4Sugahbaybe 34(FLL)" which an undercover detective answered.
While he was unknowingly communicating with the detective, police say Torres offered to "pay an allowance" of $600 per week to a girl for her companionship and stated that "age is just a number."
When Torres was arrested on Monday, police found a condom, four $100 gift cards and less than a gram of marijuana in his car. He was charged with using a computer and traveling to meet a minor for unlawful sexual conduct. possession of cannabis under 20 grams and a violation of his probation related to a grand theft case in California.
After his arrest, Torres reportedly told police that he made a bad decision.
