Arizona Republican Senator Jeff Flake is taking heat for his 15-year-old son's racist and homophobic social media activities.

Further investigation uncovered numerous racial, ethnic, religious and gay slurs on Tanner Flake's Twitter, Youtube and other social profiles. In one case Flake called a friend a "Jew" for taking credit for his jokes.

In another he referred to Mexicans as the "scum of the Earth," causing concern that he learned those views from his father, who is currently taking the lead on immigration reform with the "Gang of Eight" senators.

It also came to light Tanner Flake goes by the name "n1----killer" on the Fun Run social gaming app.

Although Tanner has since deleted the offensive tweets and locked his Twitter account, a series of tweets from January and February show the Arizona Republican’s son repeatedly using the slurs.

Tanner also bragged on Twitter that his father is a member of Congress, even referencing his father's no vote on SOPA, the Stop Online Piracy Act.

"I'm very disappointed in my teenage son's words, and I sincerely apologize for the insensitivity," Flake responded in a statement to media outlets. "This language is unacceptable, anywhere. Needless to say, I've already spoken with him about this, he has apologized, and I apologize as well."

Flake, 50, spent six terms in the House before winning his Senate seat last November.

Flake and his two youngest sons, Tanner and Dallin, 13, recently made headlines for a secret trip during the Memorial Day congressional recess to the same deserted island where he fulfilled his lifelong dream of spending a survivalist week alone.
