Feb. 25 (UPI) -- A Virginia man stopped at a store to buy some snacks and walked out with a scratch-off lottery ticket worth $100,000.

Virginia Beach resident Lixander Paniagua-Maravilla told Virginia Lottery officials he only had snacks on his mind when he stopped at the Food Lion store on Ferrell Parkway in Virginia Beach, but a Let's Make a Deal scratch-off lottery ticket caught his eye.

Paniagua-Maravilla was shocked when his impulse buy turned out to be a $100,000 top prize winner.

"I screamed a little bit," the winner recalled.

The winner said he doesn't have any immediate plans for his prize money.

"It feels surreal! It doesn't feel real," he said.
