Feb. 24 (UPI) -- A North Carolina man who scored a $110,000 lottery prize said the jackpot was predicted by his dreams -- right down to the exact dollar amount.

Stanley resident Robert Hoban told North Carolina Education Lottery officials he bought a $1 Quick Pick ticket for a Cash 5 drawing using Online Play and went to sleep with the lottery on his mind.

"I actually dreamed the night before that I would win," Hoban recalled. "It's strange because I even dreamed the exact amount that I won."

"It was very crazy, but it's true," he said.

Hoban said his shock at finding out he had won $110,000 after dreaming about it was matched only by his family's disbelief.

"They thought I was kidding with them, because I like to do that a lot," he said.
