Sept. 27 (UPI) -- The owner of a Maine farm is asking residents to keep a lookout for a cow that escaped while being transferred between trailers.

Stacie Ellis-Gross, owner of Gross Hardship Acres in Bucksport, said the black heifer, named Broadway, was being transferred from one trailer to another near the intersection of Falmouth Road and Gray Road in Windham when the cow ran off.

Ellis-Gross said Broadway is her daughter's show heifer for 4-H competitions and is kept as a pet at the farm.

Nearby residents are being asked to report any sightings of a loose cow in the Windham area. A local drone owner was slated to be searching the area where Broadway escaped on Wednesday.
