Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe Sept. 19 (UPI) -- A seal spotted wandering in a Massachusetts road after apparently getting disoriented was escorted back to the water by police. The Provincetown Police Department said officers on the evening shift responded to a report of a seal in the road near the AWOL Hotel on the Cape Cod peninsula. Advertisement "The fully grown adult seal appeared to have gotten turned around in the marsh area after the tide had gone out," police wrote in a Facebook post. The officers cleared a path for the marine mammal and escorted it back to the beach, where it was returned to the ocean. "The seal was not injured and returned to its natural habitat without issues," the post said.
