Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Wildlife officers were summoned to a major airport in Malaysia when a wayward monkey found its way inside the building and appeared to be unable to find its way out.

Malaysia Airports posted a video to Facebook showing the monkey climbing high up on a window support inside Kuala Lumpur International Airport's Terminal 1.

"Poor buddy! Must be feeling completely overwhelmed! Hang in there," the post said.

Officers from the Department of Wildlife and National Parks of Peninsular Malaysia were summoned to the airport to rescue the primate.

A follow-up post revealed rescuers had used a lift to reach the monkey's perch and bring the animal back down to the ground and outside the building.

"This little guy can now go home to his family safely," the post said. "What an adventure he must have had."
