Giant tooth sculpture made from toothbrushes earns world record

Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Pharmaceutical firm Dr. Reddy's Laboratories received a Guinness World Record after using about 80,000 toothbrushes to create a sculpture of a giant tooth.

The company created the 40-foot sculpture, dubbed Fastminar, at Terna Dental College in Navi Mumbai, India.

Guinness World Records confirmed the finished work was the world's largest toothbrush sculpture of a body part (supported).

Dr. Reddy's said the sculpture will remain on display for about a year, and the materials then will be recycled.
