Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe Aug. 30 (UPI) -- A zoo in the Netherlands was temporarily closed when visitors spotted two wolves that had escaped from their enclosure. The Amersfoort Zoo said in a Facebook post that visitors were ushered into indoor areas Monday when two wolves were seen wandering outside of their enclosure near the back of the park. Advertisement The zoo was temporarily closed and the wolves were safely tranquilized and returned to a secure area within about 45 minutes, zoo officials said. The park was subsequently reopened. Officials said the wolves had escaped from their enclosure by digging a tunnel under the fence that surrounds the area.
